Weddings and Ceremonies and reception
Ceremonies take place in the barn against a backdrop of traditional stone walling and oak floor, with stylish chiavari chairs to create a beautiful aisle dressed in the style of your wedding. Comfortably seating up to 100 guests, fairy lights create a romantic atmosphere from afternoon into evening, with the space to decorate suiting your theme and style.
Our barn then transforms seamlessly from ceremony to reception area, sitting up to 100 guests for wedding breakfasts and up to 130 guests for evening drinks and dancing. With a private bar and full disabled access, guests have exclusive use of the barn, lawned area and surrounding grounds.
Our cosy mezzanine provides a great view of the wedding celebration and can be used as an additional space to chill and relax.

Our barn is the most beautiful blank canvas to allow you to create your perfect wedding. As part of your event we invite our couples to decorate the barn to their own taste. From romantic flowers, bunting and vintage; to modern, fun or quirky, we will help you create your dream day.
Prep and party
If you want more time to prepare your space, and reduce stress, let us help you by offering a Prepare & Party afternoon. You will have exclusive access to the barn for the full afternoon before your big day for you to dress and decorate the space, sort out your final arrangements, have your flowers and accessories delivered, and run through the plans for the next day.
Our wedding team will be on hand to help with any last minute questions and queries. We would like to invite the wedding couple and up to 8 guests to come along, get busy with the plans and enjoy afternoon tea and a glass of fizz to get you in the celebratory mood! You can bring the music, chat and most importantly relax.
Our Prep & Party is a great opportunity for the wedding couple to invite the bridesmaids, groomsmen or parents along to see the venue before the big day, and to help with the plans. It may also help reduce the nerves for the following day and give you some fabulous time with your nearest and dearest!

Helen Parker has worked at Northorpe Hall Child & Family Trust. She is now an independent civil celebrant. For any event she does at The Northorpe Barn, she will donate 10% of her fee to Northorpe Hall.
